Pivotal Learning: Teaching Social Studies in a Changing World

Location: Crowne Plaza Albany - the Desmond Hotel, Albany NY
Join us for professional development in March 2023 that will focus on the pivotal role of the Social Studies in today's society. We are planning for an in-person convention. Registration includes breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday, and a continental breakfast on Saturday morning. Workshop sessions focus on interdisciplinary connections, pedagogy and methodology in Social Studies classrooms, the changing field of Social Studies and engaging citizenship education. Registration for the Full Convention includes access to sessions, clinics and keynote speakers. NY CTLE certificates will be issued at the end of the day. Convention Overview is available here!
