South Asia Summer Language Institute offers TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP

The South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI) is pleased to announce the SASLI Teacher Scholarship.  

Any K-16 teacher who has submitted a complete SASLI general application may apply for a full Scholarship to attend SASLI 2012.  Preference will be given to applicants from K-12 schools, community colleges, and small 4-year colleges.

Based at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, SASLI is offering intensive summer courses in the following South Asian languages: Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Pashto, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, Tibetan and Urdu. Courses are offered at the Elementary and Intermediate levels, and students learn one year’s worth of language during the 8-week program.
