WHAT/WHEN/WHERE
A mini-conference/luncheon on the federal mandate “Constitution Day” will be held at Roberts Wesleyan College on Wednesday, June 29 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
AUDIENCE
School Administrators, Teachers and Board of Education Members
GOAL
To provide participants with information, ideas, and materials regarding the federal requirement that all schools provide an educational program about the CONSTITUTION on or about September 17 each year.
COST
Nothing. This program is funded by a grant from the NYS Bar Foundation/Law, Youth, & Citizenship Program.
FORMAT
Keynote Speaker Bryan Hetherington, Chief Counsel for the Empire Justice Project and president-elect of the Monroe County Bar Association will speak on “Equity in Educational Funding Issues the Constitution and Civil Discourse”
Lunch
NOTE
Each participant will receive materials including lesson plans, instructional materials, infusion strategies, and information regarding additional resources.
