Call for Proposals
The Law, Youth and Citizenship Program of the New York State Bar Association will hold its 35th Annual Civics and Law-Related Education Conference Oct. 20 and 21, 2011 in Port Jefferson on the north shore of Long Island.
The
theme is, "The Constitution, the Courts and Crime." The LYC Committee is also looking to select several presenters that can discuss using political cartoons and political satire in the classroom.
Chosen presenters
will
have
registration fees
waived
and room and meals provided.
Keynote speaker will be
Linda R. Monk, J.D., a constitutional scholar, journalist, and award-winning author. A graduate of Harvard Law School, she twice received the American Bar Association’s Silver Gavel Award, its highest honor for law-related media. Her books include

submission is June 3.
