Join us from Wednesday, July 18 - Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Desmond Hotel & Conference Center for our 4th annual intensive three-day NYSCSS/NYS4A Summer Institute. We will focus on using the New York State Social Studies Curriculum Framework to plan instruction and acquiring new strategies to scaffold instruction for all learners including students receiving ELL and Special Education services. During the Institute, we will discuss current practices for effective instruction in the special education and ELL classroom. We will be joined by NYSED Social Studies Associates who will provide clinics and updates on the NEW Global History & Geography Regents exam and the United States History and Government Regents Exam.

SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION PAYING YOUR COSTS?: If your registration costs are being paid by an organization with a credit or debit card, each individual's registration must be done separately via our website. If your school or organization is paying by check or purchase order, please make certain that that the names of attendees being paid for are written on ALL documents accompanying the mailed check or purchase order. Your registration will be delayed if your names does not appear on the purchase order and corresponding documents. A school or organization contact person (with phone and e-mail address) should be identified on the purchase order.
We will provide a CTLE certificate of attendance for all attendees who complete the workshop. Certificates will not be released early for any reason. You must attend all sessions to receive your certificate.
Complimentary breakfast is included with your registration. Lunch choices will be available for purchase throughout the Institute.
