Regents Exam

This workshop will focus on the historical thinking skills needed for the new Framework U.S. History & Government Regents exam through the lens of the Women's Suffrage Movement. Presenters, Dr. Jennifer Lemak, Chief Curator of History, Ms. Ashley Hopkins-Benton, Senior Historian and Curator, Social History and Mr. James Jenkins, Museum Instructor from the New York State Museum will unpack the rich histories of the documents while providing strategies for teaching historical context, relationships, sourcing, reliability, and civic literacy to students.  Teachers will receive tasks aligned to Parts II and III of the new U.S. History and Government Regents Exam.
