NYSCSS 2023 Convention Proposal Submission
Theme: NYSCSS 2023: Pivotal Learning: Teaching Social Studies in a Changing World

Your responses to these questions will be used to determine your acceptance as a presenter for the 2023 New York State Council for the Social Studies 85th Annual Convention.  The Convention will be held from Thursday, March 9, 2023 to Saturday March 11, 2023.

Presenter Agreements
Please complete the following section of the form to indicate your understanding and agreement to the event management details.  
If selected to present, I will provide a pre-recorded video of my presentation by January 20, 2023. This video will be available to convention attendees for 30 days after the convention and in case we need to move to an all-virtual event. *
All presenters will be expected to share materials to be uploaded to the NYSCSS Convention online program app. *
All presenters are required to be current members of the New York State Council for the Social Studies. *
If selected to present at the convention, all presenters must be registered and paid as an attendee. *
For presentations, NYSCSS will provide an LCD projector with connection cables for PC laptops, a projection screen, and internet access.  We will not provide laptops, connection cables for Macs, or any other A/V equipment. *
Presenters are responsible for all charges incurred related to travel and/or convention attendance including costs for any copying services (plan to bring your own handouts). *
I will make every effort to provide 10 days notice to the Convention Chairperson if I have to cancel my presentation. *
I understand that if the Convention is moved to an all-virtual event, I will be contacted to determine my availability and interest in presenting. *
